The National Souvenir Center, where Korean traditional products are sold and displayed, opened in Myeongdong, Seoul on September 17. Run by the Welcome to Korea Citizen Council with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the gift shop deals with than 1,000 items produced by 75 companies.Those items represent Korean culture and the sprit of the new millenium. On the first floor,there are character products,accessories, textiles, embroidery, knot works, jewlry, pottery and ceramicsware. On the second floor are paintings, Hahoe masks, woodcraft, lacquerware, shell works, and Korean musical instruments. The third floor has a performance place and a lounge for visitor to relax.
